won this bukit panjang - holland grc 3 on 3 competition. played with binghan, junling and aloy. didn't play much cos i had something on in the morning. did help a little in the semis but that's all. well, with 3 all-star calibre players in my team there really isn't a need for me to play ya?
didn't want to take the $20 voucher cos i felt so paiseh about taking it. ended up just accepting a token $10 from junling. got back with a trophy though! and i shook hands with Dr Teo Ho Pin! how's that eh? fancy me shaking hands with the MP. now that's definitely a milestone in my 17 years of living.
saw a little part of this song on mtv last night, back eyed pees - where is the love and its stuck in my head now! i can't find the mp3 anywhere! argh!

im having mixed feelings as i write this. it's so dumb! why must there be a good news and bad news?
bad thing: kelvin's admitted to NUH's isolation ward as he's experiencing extreme temperature. heard the news from aunty laiwah right before my soccer game today. somehow i had the notion that something bad is going to happen when kelvin opted for another kind of chemo treatment. it's so useless to say it now. why cancer?! the worse thing is that kelvin's in the isolation ward and i cannot visit him!
good thing: we won our interhouse soccer game. romanis(1) 3 - 1 hose(2) i played keeper today and let in one silly silly goal. we played well as a team though and the guys made up by scoring 3 really great goals. so we're in the semis! next up is gomes(2)
kendrick just called and asked if i want to go for training at shenze. i think i will go and try out. i really hope to improve for next year's interschool. the champion's throphy shall return to SA!
shall not succumb to the devil! shall not be depressed! the battle's won on the cross by Jesus Christ already! what is death? what is failure? i shall not fear! so shouldn't you.

had interhouse soccer tournament today. missed out on the team's first game due to some stupid last minute training. played our j2 seniors from romanis today. we won 2-0 on penalties(the game was drawn 2-2 after full time)
don't really want to talk much about the game itself. though i didn't play but it's really a pleasure watching the whole team play. they fought hard and played with all their heart. when it came down to the last moments they kept their cool and redeemed themselves to avoid elimination.
right! i should go apply to be some sports column editor. =p
thanks to the wayback machine im able to recover some of my lost archives. reading those past memories bring back those fond memories of blogging in secondary 3. blogging used to be such an exclusive thing. not like now when almost any tom dick or harry's blogging.
my writing's so disjointed now. i NEED to get out of this depression period. i MUST get a hold on myself.
Lord help me to trust in Your sovereign will. help me to discern Your will and my wants. Lord only your plan for me should be done. help me to grow in You. it's been done before, let me get over this period of backsliding so that i may continue to bring honour and glory to Your name. amen

sorry for the blatant lack of updates. somehow my modem died on me. tried calling the singnet broadband ppl. yeah as with all technical support, it's not their fault really. in the end it came to a full circle and they expect me to solve my own problem by bringing down the modem to the manufacturer!
so for the time being. bear with the lack of updates and i'll try and get back to blogging when i finally get my lazy self back to work.

please support the leukemia fighters! i don't really know much about leukemia. i do see how the kids stricken by the illness suffer on tv serials on drama. ok maybe i will need to read up more so as to correct my warped perception of the disease. never trust what u get on tv eh?
however, i'm truly blessed to have kelvin as a great brother-in-Christ. although kelvin's suffering from cancer, he's not showing much of it aside from the chemotherapy machine hanging from his waist. i've learnt that we should all give praise to God in all things, for everything works together for our good!
galvin, i'll be praying for you and your sister. continue to walk with the Lord and may He keep the both of you. God BLESS!!!

SECURITY...FOR NOW: Even with the security that an SAF peacekeeper provides, this Timor Leste boy's eyes betray despair borne out of the struggles and violence that his people have experienced. Although he lives in comparative safety under the watchful eyes of the peacekeepers, he still has to bear with extreme weather conditions. Food and water are also not always available. An education and proper shoes are luxuries which do not even cross his mind.
the very first thing that struck me when i saw this picture in a straits times article: those pair of eyes speak!
i could write so much on my reactions to that picture. however, madam chan is not making life easy for me. 3 essays by tomorrow! right! if not my 36/50 for divinity will just go down the drain.

You have registered your National Service on Mon, 7 Jul 2003 and have been granted deferment from Full-Time National Service to pursue PRE-U 1 at ST ANDREW'S JC.
You are required to notify Deferment Office at Central Manpower Base (CMPB) immediately if you cease to pursue the course. Approval has to be sought from CMPB if you intend to request for:
a. Change the course of study.
b. Change the institution/school.
You can email to Deferment Office at cmpb@starnet.gov.sg.
right. i think i may have to to notify CMPB. i need approval for transferring to ngee ann poly. after i get my disastrous common test results that is.
